Edward Byers

Chief Strategy Officer, Master Chief Ret.

Before retiring, Byers served 21 years as a U.S. Navy SEAL and became the 1st Medal of Honor Recipient from SEAL Team Six due to an American Hostage rescue operation in Afghanistan.

Edward earned his B.S. from Norwich University and his MBA from The Wharton School. He is a Pat Tillman Scholar and an inductee to the SOCOM Commando Hall of Honor, and 2-time Purple Heart Recipient.

U.S. Navy SEAL Ret. “McB” is a retired United States Navy SEAL, Bronze Star Recipient and Platoon Leader who trained and operated with SEAL Teams Two, Four, Eight, One, Three and a Military Free Fall instructor with over 600 jumps. On the heels of a 24-year career as a Navy SEAL, McB has become an accomplished speaker and has produced one of the most visually stunning photography book ever captured on US Navy SEAL training “Uncommon Grit” also the president of the 501c3 charity Uncommon Grit Foundation and founder of the The Bone Frog Open, the golf charity classic. His professional portfolio including work for:

Jesse Merl is an entrepreneur, tech executive, angel investor, and social media influencer. As a startup Founder and Chief Executive, Jesse’s projects led to multiple successful acquisition exits. He has been covered by Forbes & Business Journal among many others. He has deep ties in the venture capital and network TV production industries. Jesse was the central focus in the Esquire produced “Startup” series, and has been featured on the CW.

He chooses projects based on his passions and as a proud patriot and supporter of the military, High Value Target is the honor of his life.

Jeff Gum

Chief Executive Officer

Jeff Gum served for ten years as a U.S. Navy SEAL at SEAL Team Five and as Lead Petty Officer of the SEAL Combatives Program. He earned his B.S. in Business Management at University of Central Florida and his MBA at UCLA Anderson. He is the CEO and Founder of Sunga Life, an athleisure brand all about freedom.

Jeff is a Scientific Master Diver with the Force Blue Team saving the Coral Reef in Florida and on the board of the Adaptive Training Foundation.
